NYUNGWE FOREST

Nestled in the heart of Rwanda, Nyungwe Forest National Park is one of Africa's most ancient and biodiverse rainforests, offering an extraordinary nature experience. Spanning over 1,000 square kilometers, this UNESCO-listed park is a sanctuary for wildlife enthusiasts, hikers, and anyone seeking an unforgettable encounter with nature. Wildlife & Biodiversity Nyungwe is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, with over 13 species of primates, including chimpanzees, the rare Ruwenzori colobus monkeys, and golden monkeys. It also hosts over 300 bird species, many of them endemic, making it a birdwatcher's paradise.

AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK

Nestled in the northeastern corner of Rwanda, Akagera National Park is a breathtaking tapestry of rolling hills, vast savannahs, and shimmering lakes. Covering over 1,200 square kilometers, it stands as Rwanda’s largest protected wetland and a premier wildlife destination. Renowned for its conservation success, Akagera is a haven for Africa’s iconic wildlife, offering visitors the rare chance to witness the "Big Five"—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—alongside an array of other fascinating species, including giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

BIRUNGA VOLCANOES

The Virunga Volcanoes in Rwanda are part of a chain of eight volcanic mountains located in the Virunga Mountains, spanning the borders of Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. In Rwanda, they are situated in Volcanoes National Park, home to five of the volcanoes: Karisimbi, Bisoke, Muhabura, Gahinga, and Sabyinyo. These mountains are known for their stunning landscapes, dense forests, and as the habitat of the endangered mountain gorillas.
